 R & D Activities  in Biotechnology

SGPGIMS is one of the pioneering centre for advanced research, teaching and training in Medical Biotechnology. Our Institute provides tertiary Medical Care and is also involved in the basic research. It is a deemed university and awards DM / Ph.D. / MD / PDCC Courses in different disciplines. Institute also provides Post MD/MS training Course in Medical Biotechnology programme to Medical Doctors. Major research areas of the Institute include DNA diagnostics, DNA vaccines, population diversity, Cell and Cancer Biology, Cellular and Clinical Immunology, Endocrinology, Molecular analysis of Oxalic stone disease and study of monogenic and polygenic disease.
