Industrial Toxicology Research Centre (ITRC), Lucknow is a constituent laboratory of Council of Scientific & Industrial Research (CSIR), Government of India.It was established in 1965. Its main campus is located near Hazratganj and another campus, Gheru campus is situated on the Lucknow-Kanpur highway.

• Toxicogenomics : Studies on gene environment interactions, development of biomarkers and polymorphism in Indian population for increased disposition towards toxic stress.
  
• Application of bioinformatic tools in toxicological research.
  
• Biodegradation of environmental pollutants, hexachlocyclohexane, endosulfan and DDT, and bioremediation of contaminated sites.
  
• Biological de-colorization of distillery effluents, bio-deodorization of raffinates and degradation of phenols in the waste waters.
