IQRA Biotech Services is Lucknow based company with the future vision in Applied Biotechnology, Life Sciences and Medical Biotechnology. It is headed by Dr. Saeed Ahmad in the capacity of CEO with his current team of 10 for DNA Bank only, this number will increase to about 30 after establishment of Stem Cell Bank. A number of field persons (about 80 to 90) will be required for orientation, marketing and Implementation. The first aim of the company was to establish a system which assists in identification and verification of an Indian on click of mouse any where in India or abroad; if brought under the system. The aim has been achieved by the establishment of Human DNA Bank and DNA Identification System. It is the first such Human DNA Bank in this park of the country. This is first time that DNA system is applied in general public. DNA Identification System is basically the hybridization of hundreds of vital details (anthropological, personal, sibling, spouse, finger prints, biometrics, medical and similar information) of an individual transferred in encrypted state into a SIM based Smart Card called DNA Card given to the individual, which can be read by microprocessor based readers. The ONLINE version of the details is also available for use of Law Enforcement Agencies, Sensitive Establishments, Institutes of national importance and to the police departments and other organizations etc. DNA Bank started its activities on June, 10 2008, for public. Human DNA Bank has been in headlines & news at national and international level. Most recently in 5 months only the Human DNA Bank has signed MoU at Jeddah with a top company of Kingdom of Saudi Arabia (KSA) after presentation before top scientists, doctors and Internal security department, to implement DIS for all non-Saudi employees working in government and private companies/organizations in the entire Saudi Arabia. Human DNA Bank concept was discussed with Hon. Health Ministry, Government of Malaysia at Kuala Lumpur who agreed to implement DIS for non-Malaysian employees working in Malaysia necessary action has been initiated. The second phase of IQRA Biotech Services had marked the initiation of the “Institute for Cord Blood and Stem Cell Bank” which will be set up in Biotech Park. The Laying of foundation stone of Stem Cell bank by Hon. Minister of Science and Technology, government of U.P, Sri. Abdul Mannan on August 6, 2008. This Institute will serve the society in a major way by providing ready to infuse Stem Cells for therapeutic purpose to various hospitals and medical institutes; mainly in U.P.
