GreenOil is knowledge and research based organization straddling the entire value chain of bio diesel production. As per its ethos: “Helping Heal The Earth”, it focuses on ensuring that its operations are not only carbon neutral, but actually sequester carbon dioxide from the atmosphere, thereby making its bio fuel truly a green oil! Another focus of the organization is to ensure that the entire growth and production cycle is EROI positive (energy return on investment) thereby maintaining energy economy. GreenOil uses non arable wasteland for afforesting trees that yield non-edible oil and follow the chain to bio diesel. The trees selected are Jatropha curcas, Pongamia pinnata, Azadirachta indica and Madhuca indica. GreenOil uses fundamental and applied research to validate its claim. GreenOil operates from Rajasthan where it has established nursery and is growing plants from identified seed accessions. It is also clonally replicating select plus trees. GreenOil works in close collaboration with the Biotechnology Park, Lucknow to ensure that highest standards are maintained.
GreenOil supplies prime germination quality seeds (seeds as well as plants), feedstock for oil extraction and consultancy on setting up biodiesel projects.
