The two days Bioinformatics workshop entitled “Bioinformatics in Molecular Modeling, Data Analysis and System Biology” is organized on August 8–9, 2008 at Biotechnology Park, Lucknow and was inaugurated by Dr. H. M. Behl, Consultant Scientist, Biotech Park Lucknow and interacted with the participants from different institutions like NBRI, IITR, CIMAP,KGMU Lucknow, Rajasthan University, and even candidates from different cities like Dehradun, Delhi, Meerut, Punjab, Allahabad attended the workshop.

Dr. Pragya Gupta, Scientist, Biotech Park welcomed the participants and introduced about the Biotech Park and facilities, in his inaugural remarks highlighted the scope and application of Bioinformatics in Biotechnology and their Industrial development. The lectures in the workshop are being delivered by the experts of the local institutions and Biotech Park who use bioinformatics in their research. A special lecture on Intellectual Property Rights has also been included the workshop.

The theme of workshop was based on analysis of Molecular modeling, Genomics & Proteomics, system biology etc. At the valedictory session Dr. P. K. Seth, CEO Biotech Park Lucknow discussed the problems faced by the participants in their research and encouraged them to implement Bioinformatics and Bio-medical sciences in-silico technologies in their problem finding solution and concluded the workshop with certificate & programme CD distribution to the participants.
