Under a Training - Cum - Study Visit Program organized by Indian Institute of Management, Lucknow on Innovations in Agriculture and Rural Development ten countries visited Biotech Park on Dec 13, 2011. The 15 participants were from Asian and African countries which included senior officials from ministries of agriculture, Agriculture engineers and scientists working in the field of Rural Development. They were accompanied by Prof. K.B. Gupta and Prof. M.K. Tiwari.of IIM, Lucknow

CEO, Biotech Park gave a brief presentation about Biotech Park and the important role it plays in supporting the growth of biotechnology industries and promoting the application of biotechnology in agriculture.

The participants went around plant tissue culture, biofertilizer and central instrumentation facilities, and solvent extraction unit and research and development facilities of Biotech Park as well as units setup by various entrepreneurs at the park. They interacted with the scientists & technical Processing unit staff as well as with entrepreneurs of the Park. Most of the delegates found the visit extremely useful and for some of them it was a unique experience. Several delegates expressed interest in revisit and developing collaborative training programs with Biotech Park.
