Stems Cells Breakthrough

South Korean scientist has grown pancreatic beta cells, taken from umbilical cord blood of neonatal to treat diabetes. They differentiated stem cells from cord blood cells into those cells that secrete insulin. Cord blood cells are converted into pancreatic beta cells, to form insulin. But an experiment with embryonic stem cells is controversial due to ethical point of view.
