Scientist are making efforts to make green polymer essentially plastic from garbage. Dr Coates has discovered some green polymers and catalysts to turn carbon dioxide into a polymer.The reason for choosing carbon dioxide as a feedstock for polymer is that it is highly abundant and cheap .He said that catalyst are like match maker which accelerates a reaction without being consumed by that reaction. The search for biocomposite material dates form 1913 when both a French and British scientist filed for patents on soy-based plastic. Green polymer business seems to be springing up everywhere.In the coming few years their will be hard-hitting competition in this field.
