1. Open meet on Bio-diesel from Jatropha curcas (September 15, 2004)

   Biotech Park in collaboration with National Botanical Research Institute, Lucknow has organised a open meet on Bio-diesel from Jatropha curcas. More than 50 farmers and entrepreneurs attended the meet. Dr. HM Behl, Scientist, NBRI explained the techniques and methodologies involved in the farming of Jatropha and making Bio-diesel from it.

2. Akshya (Jaiv) Urja Kisan Goshthi (August 20, 2004)

   Biotech Park has organised a Akshya (Jaiv) Urja Kisan Goshthi on Rajiv Gandhi Renewable Energy Day i.e. August 20, 2004. The Goshthi is sponsored by Department of Alternate Energy, New Delhi, Non - Conventional Energy Development Agency (NEDA), Council of Science & Technology UP, National Botanical Research Institute, Lucknow. More than 200 farmers from the near by areas attended the goshthi.

3. Bio-Business Meet on Bio-Diesel (August 10, 2004)

   Biotech Park in collaboration with Council of Science & Technology, UP, National Botanical Research Institute, Lucknow and Lucknow Management Association has organised a Bio-Business Meet on Bio-Diesel on International Biodiesel Day i.e. August 10, 2004. More than 30 participants attended the meet.
   
   The program focused on the following areas:

   1. Potential and feasibility of producing bio-diesel
   2. Current scenario of Government policies, programmes and opportunities
   3. Technical information about cultivation, nursery, seed harvesting on     Jatropha curcas
   4. Technologies and linkages for Jatropha curcas cultivation, extraction and     processing
   5. Marketing and networking
