Scientist
has sequenced the DNA of 15 most commonly used strains of mouse
in biomedical research.
The project called “Re-Sequencing and SNP Discovery Project” led
by the National Institute of Environmental Health Sciences (NIEHS),
part of the National Institutes of Health, and its National Toxicology
Program started with a budget of $13 million almost two years ago.
These data are useful in finding why some people are more susceptible
to some disease than other.
More than 8.3 million SNPs were reported . The information is available
at National Center of Biotechnology.
