Flood- tolerant rice

A new variety of flood tolerant rice soon could make it’s way to fields.Scientist have isolated a gene in traditional rice plants that allows them to survive in completely submerged state.These plants can survive under water for more than two weeks.This finding will be a good news for rice farmers.
